Portage College is a public board-governed community college with seven campus locations across Alberta. Established in Lac La Biche as part of the federal government's initiative to research basic adult education, the college offered instruction in areas as diverse as academic upgrading, oilfield management, and more.  The main campus is located in Lac La Biche, with regional service centres in Cold Lake and St. Paul.
